GETEC Partners is contributing to the construction of a pedestrian bridge across Al Furousiya Street in Doha, Qatar. The multi-laned road is one of the main arteries in the vicinity of Wadi Al Sail West. GETEC Partners delivered TERRAFORCE Blocks and geogrid fabrics to the construction site and is now in charge of installing the retaining wall system.
Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) commenced with the construction of the bridge in August 2020. The bridge is part of the National Road Safety Strategy and will connect the Aspire Park with the nearby neighborhood. It will benefit pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and persons with special needs.
„We are very pleased to be part of this project,“ says Ahmed Amrou, Getec Partners’ managing director. „The bridge will not only improve the safety of pedestrians but also add to the convenience of the people living in the surrounding area.“
